Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum) originated in Asia and was commonly used in India. The spice and oil has been used in many cultures due to variety of health benefits associated with different health concerns including digestive problems, yeast and skin infections, colds, joint health, or menstrual cramps. Cinnamon essential oil is also known as a natural mosquito repellent. Research has shown that it is even effective in killing mosquito larvae. Cinnamon oil proved to be helpful in removing blood impurities which makes it very beneficial in topical dealing with some skin problems such as pimples. Mixed with base oils (such as sesame oil) and massaged into the skin Cinnamon essential oil helps to improve blood circulation, thus increasing oxygen supply to the cells and leading to greater metabolic activity in skin and reduced stiffness of the muscles and joints. Inhaling fumes of the oil from vaporisers have been also known to help in relieving sore throat and congestion associated with colds.
Direction of Use
For external use only. Do not use undiluted on the skin. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with sensitive areas such as eyes. Always use pure oils with caution. If in doubt, consult qualified person before use. Best kept cool and used within one year of opening. Note : Avoid if pregnant. May cause irritation to sensitive skin.
